Description
As an angler, you should always strive to hook the biggest of fish. That is precisely what our ship captain from Medulin managed to accomplish in 2021. Setting his personal and annual world record, he caught a 280-kilogram tuna.
Sailing with him means you will learn various fishing techniques, such as drifting, trolling, and bottom fishing, to maximize your chances of catching this enormous predator. He will get you familiar with all the equipment, teach you how to react when the fish bites, and get it on the deck.
To give you an authentic experience of Croatian culture, fresh seafood will be prepared for you on the boat. Your only job will be to enjoy the panoramic view of the open sea and pull the baited fish on the boat when one of your rods goes off.
The trip usually takes 12 hours. After you return in the evening, you will unload your catch and go for dinner at the restaurant to celebrate it.
In case you opt for fishing with us for 2 or 3 days, you will be able to spend the night on the boat and continue your adventure early in the morning. On the other hand, returning to the shore and sleeping in your own accommodation is always an option.
You can fill out the inquiry form, and we will contact you on the topic to provide you with more information.
Fish
Atlantic Bluefin tuna is the main species of tuna found in the Mediterranean sea, and with that, in the Adriatic. With the oldest specimens being more than 50 years old and weighing more than 300 kg, this fish is one of the greatest predators who dwell in this part of the ocean.
This predator is a competitor of tuna, but it’s not as widely spread in the Adriatic sea, leaving more living space for its contestant.
The Mahi-mahi or dolphinfish is a less known inhabitant of the Adriatic sea, as it is usually associated with tropical places due to its diverse colors. On its body, you can find a mixture of gold, green and yellow, with some silver added on the belly.
Fishing captains
Robert has been an enthusiastic fisherman for more than 35 years now, spending as much time as possible sailing Croatia’s seas. His passion has always been fishing for big sea predators, and the past ten years, he has devoted all his time and energy to chasing big tunas, becoming one of the most successful anglers. He has another passion besides that. Robert is a professional chef. He is in business with many restaurants across Europe, providing them with fish and sea products, meaning you will definitely not be hungry on a trip with him. In 2021 he caught his PB tuna, which weighed more than 280kg!

Things to know
Our boats can accommodate 4-6 people. We also provide the option of booking an individual tour for you or your group.
If the forecast is not suitable for fishing (lots of rain, big waves) and the captain decides it’s not safe to go fishing, the trip is postponed or canceled and you get a refund.
You’ll need proper clothing, sunscreen and lots of enthusiasm. The complete list can be found here.
Your captain is going to be the captain of the ship. Captains have immense knowledge of the terrain they’re fishing, they know the secret spots and location of the fish so you’ll have the best chance of catching a good fish.
You can choose the trip that is closest to you or if you specifically like one of our captains, you can also take a drive to the harbor where his boat is docked and join him. List of tuna fishing captains
