Big game fishing in Croatia has become very popular in the last few decades, with anglers from all over the world coming here and trying to catch the predators of the Adriatic Sea.
Though the endless waters are home to many different species, the center of attention is the tuna fish.
Tuna has been prized all over the world as a sought-after delicacy. Not only do people adore having it on a plate, but they also love the thrill of hooking it.
The size of the Atlantic Bluefin Tuna can vary, with the ones willing to take the bait usually weighing from 50 kg up to 300 kg and measuring more than 3 meters in length. Catching one of those monsters can keep you occupied for as much as half a day, and before the tuna wears out, the rod must be passed through many strong hands, so everyone on the boat gets a piece of the action.
Only 12 captains in Croatia have the right to catch tuna. They hold a special license issued by the government agency which allows them to catch only 6 tons of tuna per season, making our tuna fishing in Croatia an exclusive experience, only possible with our fishing charters.
